What am I Buying?

You are purchasing high resolution digital files of unique works of Art that you download immediately upon purchase.  (the cash and carry version of going to an Art Show except done 100% digitally via the internet)   We are not selling re-worked images of famous Artists whose works are available in the public domain.  These are creations by today’s Artists, some may be famous now and some may be the next Picasso.  Who knows?  What we do know is that Art creation and distribution continues to evolve and Art-On-Demand.com is leading the way by creating the channel to bring Art from the masses to the masses in an economically viable model for everyone to enjoy! 

What can I do with these high resolution files after I purchase and download them?

You may use them for your own personal, non-commercial use in a variety of ways.  For example you can display the images on your HDTV via a multitude of ways, creating a customizable picture frame for enjoyment when you are not watching commercial TV or a movie. You can display the images on the growing number and sizes of digital picture frames available in the market, rather than using them as family photo albums as is generally done today.  You can take the image to a printer and have a print made to the specific size needed to fit your unique application(ever try finding that perfect piece of Art work in the exact size you need for your space at an Art Gallery or Local Art Show?) These are a few ideas, use your imagination we are sure you’ll come up with many on your own.

What file format are the masterpieces in and why?

Currently the high resolution masterpieces are delivered in JPEG format as it is the most widely supported format for display on electronic devices such as HDTVs and digital picture frames.

Can I make copies of the masterpiece and resell them or share them with my friends?

Absolutely not.  This is in clear violation of the Use of Product Terms and Conditions you agree to abide by at purchase.    A copy is provided below for your viewing.   Any use other than that specifically permitted by our agreement is strictly prohibited.

 Terms and Conditions.

The following Usage Rules accompany the purchase of Product ID _________, purchased from Art-On-Demand.com by (insert buyer name and billing address here).  Please store this document in a safe place as it allows you certain rights as to your use of the purchased product. You acknowledge that Products may contain security technology that limits your usage of Products to the following applicable Usage Rules, and, whether or not Products are limited by security technology, you agree to use Products in compliance with the applicable Usage Rules.

Usage Rules

(i) Your use of the Products is conditioned upon your prior acceptance of the terms of this Agreement.

(ii) You shall be authorized to use the Products only for personal, noncommercial use.

(iii) You shall be authorized to use the Products on your personal electronic display devices only.

(iv) You shall be able to store Products on electronic media for back up purposes and safe keeping. (Highly recommended)

(v) You shall be entitled to export, burn (if applicable) or copy (if applicable) Products solely for personal, noncommercial use.

(vi) You shall be entitled to print Products in any size and on any material solely for personal, noncommercial use.

(vii) Any burning (if applicable) or exporting capabilities are solely an accommodation to you and shall not constitute a grant or waiver (or other limitation or implication) of any rights of the copyright owners in any content, sound recording, underlying musical composition, or artwork embodied in any Product.

(viii) You agree that you will not attempt to, or encourage or assist any other person to, circumvent or modify any security technology or software that is part of the Service or used to administer the Usage Rules.

(xi) The delivery of Products does not transfer to you any commercial or promotional use rights in the Products.

How do I display the artwork after purchasing it on Art-On-Demand.com?

Depending on the device you are displaying on you might copy it to a thumb drive or a SD memory Card, burn it to a CD or DVD, stream it via your home computer network or have it printed and framed the old fashioned way.  It is up to you.  This is one of the great benefits of purchasing from Art-On-Demand.com…the choice is yours.  Pick one method or choose all.  It is up to you…we’re flexible.

How is the artwork licensed?

We license the artwork for private use only. Artists retain full copyright to their artwork and you are free to use it only under the terms granted to you via the accompanying Use of Product Terms and Conditions.  In simple terms you are purchasing an end-user license agreement just like you purchase when buying a software product such as Microsoft Office or the like.

Why do you have a one-price model?

To make the buying experience simple and ensure each Artist receives fair compensation for their work. Once you become familiar with our site you can visit with a set budget in mind and come prepared to buy.

Why would I buy a digital download of an Artist’s masterpiece rather than purchase a print or download a screensaver?

Three reasons: Uniqueness, flexibility and this is the way of the future.  Put them together and the bottom line is VALUE.  

When I purchased a masterpiece the download didn’t complete.  What should I do?

Go to our Feedback tab and select the dropdown for lost art.  Fill out the form, we’ll research your purchase and once confirmed we’ll forward you a new masterpiece via email.

I lost the masterfile of the artwork I purchased or my file got corrupted. Can I get another copy?

If your purchase was within the last six months we will replace your purchase free of charge twice.  Go to our Feedback tab and select the dropdown for lost art.  Fill out the form, we’ll research your purchase and once confirmed we’ll forward you a new masterpiece via email.
